het Ketelhuis Utrecht

Het Ketelhuis used to be an old boiler house that was built in 1969.  In this place, people used to generate steam for the entire Pastoe factory that is located next door.

When the boiler house was bought and changed into a restaurant, we kept as much of the original decor as we could, the pipes, hoists and the steam boiler are all still visible. In the beginning of 2017 the factory was still in full use. Through the 7-meter-high windows, there is a beautiful view of the Vaartsche Rijn, which is one of Utrecht’s canals. During the warmer period of the year, you can take a seat on our terrace overlooking the water

The Ketelhuis Utrecht is easy to reach by car, and there is plenty of parking space nearby. You can also get off at the new train station Vaartsche Rijn, from there it is just a five minute walk.
